Expungement Program

Anyone in the State of New Jersey with a criminal record is eligible to apply for our Expungement Program. This service is free of charge and made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.

To find out if your charges are expungable you may e-mail: Ptfexpungement@patersontaskforce.com.

Documents for the initial registration that is required are:

  • - Photo ID
  • - Social Security card
  • - Proof of Income (Paystubs - bi-weekly) (weekly 4), SSi/SSDI, child support, pension, Unemployment
  • - Must be income eligible - 200% below the Federal Poverty Guidelines (available our home page)
  • - If no income a Zero Income Check will be done on your behalf

Application Process


For all Paterson Task Force programs, the following is required:

  • Proof of income for the household,
  • Photo ID for applicant
  • Social Security Cards for household

Additional information will be required for Energy Assistance, and housing services.
