Shelter Programs

Hilltop Haven I & II

A residential shelter for homeless women and children, Hilltop Haven provides residents with three nutritional meals per day and assistance with finding permanent housing. Our referral services include: employment assistance, education and vocational training, and mental health and health services if needed.

Hilltop Heights

Provides furnished apartments to homeless intact families. This includes, men with children, husband and wife with children, and women with teenage children and adolescent males. Residents prepare their own meals, but otherwise receive the same services Hilltop Haven provides, with the goal of achieving family stability and independent living.

Application Process


For all Paterson Task Force programs, the following is required:

  • Proof of income for the household,
  • Photo ID for applicant
  • Social Security Cards for household

Additional information will be required for Energy Assistance, and housing services.
